Grit Free – it’s a blast!

Soda blasting with sodium bicarbonate blast media is a job that can only be done properly with the correct sodablast media and equipment. GritFree blasting specialise in just that!

Don’t try DIY soda blasting with you own shot/grit blasting kit you will simply end up with a yard or cabinet full of media that you will have to wash away or put in the waste bin.

We’ve all heard of sand and shot blasting and they have their place in blast cleaning, but its limited to the ablity of the component to stand up to the devastating abrasive onslaught of the gritty media, involving firing millions of hard particles of glass,sand shot, or harder stuff at your article without a great deal of control over the end result.

Well the  result ….in a word, DAMAGE!      Traditional sand blasting might be OK for blowing barnacles off a warship, but it’s too aggressive for cleaning precision engineered components. The underlying surface gets hammered, distorted and worn away by the repeated bombardments of sand and grit. If it’s an alloy body panel then it’s distortion for you.
